There are moments during the day that are extra special. Like when Miss Cupcake wakes up and comes walking penguin style to our room, half sleeping with her hair pointing in all directions, and snuggles in the bed for a while because 'she's cold'. Or when I get back from work and she comes running screaming 'daddy daddy' to give me a big hug, before showing me yet another piece of chalk she robbed from the daycare. Today's color; sea blue.
However, there is one special moment which is probably more related to the need to protect your child. And this is when I pick her up from the daycare, get her into the house, far away from all the dangers of the street like child tripping curbs. You get her dinner, put on her pyjama and she sits down to read with Sexy Mom.
This is all I want as a parent; for her to be home safe, warm and with her belly full of food, sitting quietly and calmly in a piece of furniture with no sharp edges on it, in the arms of the person that takes best care of her; her mommy.
For taking care of us, for always being there, for showering us with love and for teaching us the difference between a kitchen towel and a bathroom towel - Happy Birthday Mommy!
Este párrafo resume perfectamente lo que cada padre debería sentir por sus hijos y su mujer. Mil gracias, Markus, me has hecho emocionarme a primera hora de la mañana :)
