The brain is constructed to forget traumatic experiences. At least when it comes to moving. That is the only explanation I have to after having moved five times in the last two years, and under no influence of any drug whatsoever, deciding that doing the move ourself is an ideal solution. Yes, we used the phrase 'ideal solution'. Seriously! Incredible...
And the most amazing thing ever; after having concluded the move with only minor muscle injuries and matching bruises, with some help from friends and the moving company that sent Beavis and Butthead (yes, seriously), sitting in a house full of boxes, I kept thinking the same thing.
Don't rub it in... |
This was not that bad.
Traumatic experience = bad memory.
